You know how you’ve been meaning to do something and years pass and you never get to it?  Well, that was me with visiting Providence, Rhode Island.  When our friends mentioned they were traveling there for the weekend, well, we just had to go- the time had come! So we packed our things and headed up northeast. Three and a half hours later, we found ourselves in Providence.

We woke up the next morning ready for a day of adventure. Not really knowing what exactly we would be doing, I played it safe with a crochet romper and paired it with some Ked’s. I should probably mention that I bought my first pair of Ked’s a couple of months ago and I now own about five pairs!  They are just so comfortable and easy to slip in to! Makes me feel like I’m barefoot. On the streets. Such. a. rebel.

The morning was a little chilly, since we were right by the water, so I layered it with a denim jacket I got from Zara (it doubled as my umbrella when we encountered sun showers throughout the day!). Now, to be honest, the last time I wore a denim jacket was when I was about fifteen years old. Ever since then, I never went back. My denim jackets back in the 90’s were so stiff!  I secretly hated them. BUT, I came across this soft-washed one, and it was like the 90’s never happened.  All was forgiven.

Peppermint tea in hand, the day of exploring a new city with friends started early, indeed, and was one that I will always cherish.
